The Witness Within

Two white-robed figures stand close within a great pool of black, one veiled, one open-faced, held in a darkness that is more womb than night. Adair renders them almost as light itself — pale forms the void cannot swallow. The black is not empty but attentive: the inner space where we go to be seen by ourselves. Quiet and a little solemn, it is a painting about the part of you that keeps watch.

Original art by Adair — self-taught and visionary. Symbolic expressionism, ink and gouache. Offered as a limited-edition print.
