Ixchel is the ancient Maya goddess of the moon, of weaving, of water and of birth: the great weaver who threads life into being.
If the Chakana is the bridge between worlds, this kimono is her golden thread laid over it. Beneath: sacred geometry and the Chakana. Above: the shimmering script of the goddess, fine as a net, a small light at every crossing. A cipher: the sacred mysteries she threads into existence, waiting to be remembered.
I painted this one with my own hands, with a single intention: to remind us that we are all energy. And that our energy is sacred, and worth protecting.
Gold over deep night: the quietest piece in the collection, and the one that holds the most. From across a room it reads as black. Up close it opens into a map.
To wear it is to wear the weaver's thread, keeping your own light exactly where it belongs. Not simply a garment, but a feeling: composure you can put on.

How it fits
One size, worn open. It falls from the shoulder rather than fastening, so it sits across a wide range of bodies. At 130 cm it reaches mid-calf on most; above about 1.85 m it reads as a shorter layer. The surest test: lay a kimono you already own flat and measure it against 167 cm, cuff to cuff.
