Intertwined

A woman's face emerges from a fall of long, looping hair, and within the strands an owl's eyes quietly open — the two beings woven into one continuous line. Adair never lifts the pen: self and spirit-animal share a single body, impossible to separate. The white space keeps it dreamlike, unfinished, alive. It is a portrait of the wildness braided into a person, always there beneath the hair.
