SELVA NINA KIMONO - PRESALE

Selva on fire. For my sister, and for the forest.

I named this kimono after my sister, Selva, because of all of them this is the one she loved most. Selva means jungle. In Quechua, nina means fire. So Selva Nina is the jungle on fire.

We grew up close to the earth, held by green, rain, roots, and the feeling of belonging to something larger than ourselves. That is the feeling I wanted to give back.

Copper and terracotta run in long columns over deep indigo, like something carved and then lit from behind. Catch it in low sun and the whole thing turns amber — the hour when the forest goes gold and everything in it looks lit from the inside.

This is fire as warmth, not as ruin. The fire that wakes you, warms you, keeps you company, and turns one thing into another. Selva Nina carries it lightly.

Wear it and you carry that hour with you. Not simply a garment, but a feeling: the living world, close and on your side.
