A Luz Onde Ela Não Consegue Entrar Completamente

A blue-skinned woman turns her face toward a warm gold light that fills the canvas around her — yet her own colour keeps her just outside it, a lotus blooming at her ear. Adair paints longing as temperature: the ache of cool skin reaching for a warmth it can sense but not hold. Her expression is serene, almost accepting, which makes it sadder and more beautiful. It is a portrait of everyone who has stood at the edge of a happiness meant for someone else.

Original art by Adair — self-taught and visionary. Expressionist portraiture, acrylic on canvas. Offered as a limited-edition print.
